BIRDS OF AMERICA:
How Birds Save Us
a film & conservation mission
Birds of America is an ambitious, urgent undertaking: a feature film about the birds entangled in our lives and fate, and a parallel “making-of” media project that provides a potent, engaging platform for conservation messaging.
BirdStory is a nonprofit organization supporting independent, innovative and impactful creative media that raises awareness of the wonder and urgent plight of birds and helps us understand how their future is inherently connected with ours in the face of climate change and biodiversity loss.

2023 Project Impact
BirdStory raised over $60,000 to completely fund our Proof of Concept element for the Birds of America film project.
BIrdStory completed the Proof of Concept: the Saltmarsh Sparrow sequence and its accompanying How to Make a Wildlife Film.
During filming, BIrdStory solidified existing partnerships with organizations like the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Estuarine Research Reserve Association.
Through the potent medium of film and the magnificent avatars of our birds, Birds of America: How Birds Save Us will inspire individuals and organizations to use their power for positive, restorative, meaningful, and undaunted action in the face of climate change and habitat loss
